We are currently seeking a talented Senior Tax Manager to join us for the upcoming season! This position will supervise complex Tax issues on a regular basis, review all tax returns, talk with clients, delegate duties to tax team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Specific Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License
  • 10+ Years of Tax experience in a CPA firm
  • Review individual, partnership, corporate, and trust tax returns
  • Effectively perform tax research and technical analysis
  • Oversee and train staff on tax compliance matters

  • The Staff Accountant position is located in Beltsville, MD
  • Core working hours are 9:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
  • This position does require pre-employment background checks, education verification, and drug testing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares Monthly Journal entries
  • Performs Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Performs bank reconciliations
  • PCards / VISAs (spreadsheets and check runs)
  • Serves as a backup for Accounts Payable
  • Creates Ad hoc internal and external report requests.
  • Complete miscellaneous invoices
  • Various tasks for monthly close, ERP implementation, and others
  • Tax Preparation for clients during the busy season. 

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to sit 85% of the time; stand/walk 15% of the time; must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 30 lbs. All of these requirements are necessary in order to properly accomplish all essential functions within this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and three years experience or an Associates’s degree with 5 years of experience. Must possess strong knowledge of MS Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel. Must possess excellent organizational and both verbal and written communication skills.

The goal of the Business Development Area of Responsibility is to ensure excellent service standards, respond timely and efficiently to client inquiries and maintain high client satisfaction.  This department also will set the standard for excellence in client service company-wide. 

The Business Development Associate will focus on all aspects of customer satisfaction and care, internally and externally. This role will foster positive relationships with clients, employees, JV Partners, and all constituents.  This position will also develop programs consistent with the company’s goals that foster a superior client experience. 

A Business Development Associate will oversee, manage, and will also resolve escalated customer inquiries. This includes setting and monitoring targets and KPIs, along with motivation and support to ensure service delivery is at its highest level.  This role should strive to improve internal processes, improve business reporting, and overall business knowledge of the industry.  This position also manages external customer expectations and internal service delivery ensuring a positive experience on behalf of the company.  

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Identify new sales leads through emails, prospect calls, and club meetings
  2. Pitch products and/or services to prospects and various clubs
  3. Maintain fruitful relationships with existing customers 
  4. Establish new Joint Venture relationships with industry partners 
  5. Handle all administrative and operational duties involving prospects, sales, and marketing

Day-to-day duties:

  • Research organizations and individuals online and offline channels to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Contact potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Draft JV agreements with industry partners
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Event Management and Coordination 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of marketing and sales experience a plus. 

Additional Qualifications;

  • Must have superior communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.  
  • Must have demonstrated experience building strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Willingness to travel at least once per week to local and regional club meetings
  • Advanced technical skills along with strong skills in Microsoft Office and other CRM and project management software.  
  • Experience of working within a busy, fast-paced, and demanding environment with the ability to work accurately and within strict deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
